Do you ever need to produce “turned“ features such as flange faces, bosses and bores on large parts that do not lend themselves to being mounted in a lathe? Interpolation turning is a technique made possible on certain CNC milling centres that allows a turning operation to be carried out by synchronising the rotation of the machine spindle using a single point turning or boring tool with a corr...

      That's in a mill. Not a lathe. Mills interpolate like that non stop. The special sauce is in the spindle orientation. This is actually sick.

    Hello, which NX parametric tool do you use for toolpath generation at the time 2:50? I see that finel ISV/CSE simulation does use 3D solid turning tool, but NX does not allow to use that type of tool cannot be used for milling operation. Thank you in advance for response

    In Siemens nx cam We just only need as an operater and Programmer that.... We generate toolpath without holder (generally we don't select holder ) ... And generate toolpath... After generated tool path we need to post process in least z (minimum z) position in first line of program in post processed as a comment.... In other software we get this .... How to get minimum z position (last z position that is minimum so that operater can understand) of one operation in program in first line...

    Same issue I had with volumill its very slow. I really had zero advantage over conventional roughing and I just optimized my doc and woc and cranked up the ipm where volumill adaptive prevented me from utilizing speed taking 2x longer to complete a prt. About to use HSM I hear it’s twice as fast as volumill adaptively and actually increases speeds not just tool life. Volumill is not worth the tool life difference considering I’m getting decent life anyways.

    • @Meminsis
      @Meminsis 4 года назад

      I'm using volumill with TopSolid 7.12, before/beside I use HSM by TopSolid 7.12. Yes volumill it is slower, but it makes in my opinion (for my type of Work) the better tool path, It improved my tool life by 2x. With HSM i'm am running like 0.6-0.8 Fz and with volumill like 1-1.2 Fz to compensate the lower speed that volumill generate.

    Shorten your holder, speed up feedrate. Don't give it time to chatter

    • @glennedward2201
      @glennedward2201 4 года назад

      Looks like a high speed balanced 25k rpm shrink fit. Run them all the time and only way you get chatter is if the end mill to shrink for clearance isn’t correct. Length won’t make two bits a difference. Besides that holder is about as common as they get and necessary in a lot of applications. Never had much luck with short holders myself they end up running the part before it’s finished. I’m betting his screach is poor clamping.

      +Corpse Groinder TPC-Fräsen ist schon effektiv, das stimmt. Ich hab als Fräser in einem Werkzeugbau gearbeitet und hatte daher schon mit dieser Bearbeitung zu tun. Ich hab auch eigene Zyklen für Heidenhain hierfür geschrieben. Daher weis ich was sich gut anhört und was nicht. Außerdem find ich es auch relativ sinnlos hier mit Wasser zu kühlen. Die Wärme sollte bei dieser Art von Bearbeitung mit dem Span abgeführt werden. Das Problem liegt hier wahrscheinlich in der Dynamik der Maschine. Sie ist schlicht zu träge, daher schwankt die Mittenspandicke (sollte eigentlich kostant sein) und damit treten Schwingungen auf. Ich habe u.a. an einer Hermle gearbeitet. Diese ist deutlich dynamischer und man hat damit viel mehr Laufruhe und das gleiche Teil in einem Bruchteil der Zeit gemacht.
